Decided to make this seeing as it wasn't done already.

Warning: Rant ahead!

I once remember a time in my life that I enjoyed anime so much, I would watch any kind that aired on Cartoon Network and Kids WB. The first one I ever watched was Pokemon in 1998. I was crazy about about it, as were my brothers. I actually remember breaking night when I was 8 years old, watching Cartoon Network, just so I would see the new episode of Pokemon with Lickitung. But as I was watching CN, I saw Speed Racer, and by the time it was around 8:00am, I feel asleep, thus I missed the Pokemon episode an hour later. We watched the two first movies, and collected the trading cards. We continued to watch it until the middle of the Johto episodes. Then came Dragon Ball Z. You could say we were addicted to that, too. We watched all of the episodes everyday on Toonami after school. I believe it was 5:00pm they aired it. My older brother made sure that we got to see every Dragon Ball Z movie known to man, and we did. That lasted pretty long as well, and we stopped watching it until GT came along, which sucked by the way. We did not like how Goku turned into a kid again. It was another Dragon ball, but Dragon Ball was better. Soon, Yu-Gi-Oh! was our new anime, but before that, we would watch Sailor Moon, Tenchi Muyo, Ronin Warriors, The Big O, Gundam Wing, and Outlaw Star. I even remember waking up one morning and tuning into the WB 11 and I saw the cutest anime ever: Tama and Friends. If you're not familiar with it, it was a show about this group of talking cats. Later, I would always watch Card Captors as well.

I think we lost interest in YGO! after Battle City. We still had our trading cards, though. As time went by, some of my most favorite animes came into being. Megaman NT Warrior. Battle Network 3 was my favorite game and I got it just because of the anime. Cartoon Network soon aired Cyborg 009, G Gundam, Yu Yu Hakushu, Hamtoro, and Ruroni Kenshin. That was when I started watching Adult Swim when they gave Inuyasha, Kikaider, (one of my other all-time-faves.) and Wolf's Rain. I loved anime during that time and I will never forget those wonderful memories. I would always run to Genovese with my allowance and pick up my monthly copy of Beckett Anime Collector. Then a year or so later when I had no cable, I was left in the dark, but after I got my cable back, everything changed. It wasn't that big of deal at first, because I liked S-Cry-Ed, Full Metal Alchemist, and Eureka 7 at the time, but when I heard about Cartoon Network's new shows, I wanted to die. Naruto, One Piece and Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. It also didn't help that on Kids WB, they canceled Megaman Axcess and Pokemon got ruined with new voice actors. Fox Kids turned into 4Kids and ruined Tokyo Mew Mew and Kirby. After picking up the latest issue of Beckett Anime Collector, I gasped in horror at the cover and their new name: Beckett Anime and Manga Unofficial Collector with Naruto on the front cover. And to that very day, that magazine was no longer loved by me, for Naruto and a bunch of other shitty animes spawned it.

I tried to remain positive after watching some Anime on Demand from Anime Network. Gravitation (yes, that's the only yaoi that I liked, cause it was canon.), Kaliedo Star, Jinki Extend, Diamond Dust, Boys Be, and Mythical Detective Ragnarok Loki were my faves. Then they stopped giving those and put up these retarded animes that don't deserve to be mentioned. However, there was a time I did get into Naruto, but I got tired of it because it's so dragged on, and Naruto didn't get anywhere close to becoming Hokage. If anything, I'd rather read the manga. It's 100 times better then the craptastic anime. Then after hearing about all these popular animes, such as Bleach, Lucky Star, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and all these hentai game-based animes, I thought, "Boring." Then everything started turning into an Otaku fest. People saying they wanna become manga artists and live in Japan, "OMG! JAPAN IS LIEK DA COOLEST PLACE ON EARTH!111!1ONEONE", people trying to speak in Japanese, collecting anime PVC figures for like $130 a pop, eating nothing but ramen and pockey and drinking Ramune. Oh, God, the list goes on. Now, I've come to dislike anime and soon I turned to video games. Even though I've played them since I was a kid, I didn't take them that seriously. I think they have much better story lines, anyway. I also liked comic book cartoons, but that's another story.

I still love the anime drawing style, and I love to see OCs from my favorites childhood animes. I still can't believe how awful it got, and I think I'm one of the few people who actually liked anime before it was super, duper popular and turned into an Otaku/Weeaboo/Wapanese hell. I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but I had to let this out. This is only my opinion, and if you disagree, that's fine, but don't flame me saying anything along the lines of, "NARUTO RULEZ!!111 U SUCK LOLZZ!!11" or anything similar. If you agree, that's great. At least I'm not the only one if so. Anyway, if you aren't offended, feel free to use. :3
